Clara Cares brings professional advice and support online so everyone can get help when they need it, in an accessible, secure, and privacy focused way. In close collaboration with non-profit organisations and public institutions, we are building an online infrastructure that integrates into people’s lives regardless of age, education, income, or ability. Our platform connects users with counselling services across social and health domains from housing guidance to career orientation, care advice, and more and we’re now scaling our systems to support the next phase of growth.
You will work closely with product, UX, backend, and other Flutter developers, building and improving our Flutter applications, and (if you are interested) gradually taking on backend tasks in Go together with the team.
If you are experienced in Flutter and care about user experience, and if you either already know Go or are motivated to learn backend development, we want to hear from you.
Tasks
- Develop and maintain our Flutter applications for Clara Cares (new features, improvements, bug fixes)
- Collaborate with product and UX on implementing accessible, user-friendly interfaces.
- Integrate with backend APIs, handle authentication, error states and offline scenarios.
- Use Riverpod for state management and contribute to a clean, testable architecture.
- Write and maintain tests (unit, widget, and integration tests with Maestro) to ensure high quality app/UX in collaboration with QA engineer(s).
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to evolving our frontend architecture.
- Work with backend developers to design and refine API contracts.
- Depending on your experience and interest: contribute to backend tasks in Go (small endpoints, simple services, bug fixes) and learn more over time.
- Support in performance analysis of the app and suggest optimisations.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience with Flutter in production
- Minimum 5 years of experience with Mobile App Development
- Solid understanding of app architecture, navigation and state management with Riverpod
- Experience with integration GraphQL APIs
- Experience with integration testing (preferably with Maestro) in addition to unit and widget tests
- Experience working with a UIKit / design system in a multi-tenant setup, understanding how tokens (spacing, colors, typography) drive layout.
- Basic understanding of relational databases and how apps interact with backend data
- Familiarity with version control (Git) and collaborative development workflows and Monorepo
- Understanding of Cryptography
- Plus: Experience with Github Actions
- EITHER previous experience with Go or another backend language
- OR strong willingness to learn Go and take on backend tasks with support from the team

- German language skills are a plus
