ENPULSION is looking for an Embedded Software Engineer (f/m/x) to join our Engineering department. In this role, you will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of embedded software for our propulsion systems. You will work closely with hardware, systems, and testing teams to deliver reliable, high-performance software aligned with system requirements and industry standards.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Implement, verify and maintain embedded software modules in C/C++ for microcontrollers from requirements following coding standards.
  • Create and maintain Verification and Validation Plans.
  • Develop code and setups for unit tests.
  • Establish and maintain source code documentation (e.g. SDD).
  • Support system tests with data analysis.
  • Maintain configuration control of source code and artefacts.
  • Maintain and support production and testing tools (python).
  • Perform trouble shooting of failures as well as define and implement corrective actions.


Type of contract: Full time position with 38.5 hours/week


Salary: The minimum base salary for this position starts at EUR 2.727,40 gross per month on a full-time basis (38.5 h/week), with a planned significant overpayment of EUR 4.000-4.200 depending on your professional experience and qualifications.


Your profile


  • C/C++ coding experience.
  • V model/requirements-based development.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and physics.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and version control systems (Git).
  • Experience developing real-time embedded applications (RTOS, Bare-Metal).
  • Understanding of basic control systems (PID, Rate-Limiting).


Ideal Skills


  • Experience in safety critical field (Aerospace/automotive or ISO26262).
  • Ability to use oscilloscope.
  • Ability to review electrical schematics.
