Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Python / React Developer to join an experienced team working on an internal AI platform designed to support everyday communication and collaboration through AI agents and large language models (LLMs).

This is a hands‑on senior role focused on building high‑quality, scalable, and secure solutions in an enterprise environment, with strong ownership and technical impact.

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python and FastAPI
• Build and improve user interfaces using React, JavaScript, and CSS
• Contribute to an AI‑driven platform, including:
• Integration of LLMs
• AI agent workflows and agent‑to‑agent communication
• Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) concepts
• Develop and maintain APIs, messaging, and asynchronous processing (e.g. RabbitMQ)
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) using SQLAlchemy
• Ensure code quality, security, performance, and reliability
• Write and maintain automated tests using Pytest
• Collaborate in an Agile (Scrum) environment, taking ownership of deliverables
• Support deployment and operations using containerization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines

What You Bring

• Around 10 years of professional experience as a software developer
• Strong expertise in Python and backend API development
• Solid React experience for production‑grade frontend applications
• Hands‑on experience with LLMs and AI‑based systems
• Understanding of AI agents, RAG, or frameworks such as LangChain or LangGraph (plus)
• Experience with databases, messaging systems, and enterprise security
• Working knowledge of DevOps and cloud technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD)
• A senior mindset with accountability, ownership, and proactive thinking
• Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented approach
• Comfortable working in English; Dutch and/or French required
• Willing to work in a hybrid setup (2 days onsite per week in Brussels)
• Valid Belgian work and residence permit (for non‑EU candidates)
