The Reporting & Insights Lead is responsible for defining, governing, and continuously evolving the global FP&A reporting and insights landscape. This role serves as the central point of contact for all FP&A reporting matters globally and ensures that reporting across the organization is standardized, scalable, automated, and insight-driven. Acting as a strategic bridge between FP&A, Digital & Transformation, and Systems teams, the role translates business requirements into sustainable digital solutions and ensures a single source of truth across performance reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Global FP&A Reporting Strategy & Governance
  • Serve as the central point of contact for all FP&A reporting matters globally.
  • Define and continuously evolve the FP&A reporting strategy and overall landscape.
  • Drive consistency and standardization across quarterly reporting pack, forecast reporting, KPI frameworks, management dashboards and other self-service reports
  • Establish governance over reporting templates, data definitions, financial hierarchies, KPI logic
  • Ensure reporting alignment across regions and functional FP&A teams.
  • Continuously assess reporting relevance and eliminate low-value or duplicative reporting.
  • Ensure a “single source of truth” across the FP&A ecosystem.
  • Insights & Analytics Strategy
  • Define and drive the overarching strategy for insights generation across the FP&A community and work closely with other communities to ensure seamless integration in the overall insight strategy.
  • Shift reporting from descriptive to insight-driven performance analysis.
  • Partner with FP&A teams and through close collaboration with business stakeholders: identify reporting gaps, detect performance blind spots, generate actionable insights
  • Elevate the analytical maturity of the FP&A function.
  • Digital & Transformation Partnership
  • Act as a strategic partner to the Digital & Transformation community.
  • Translate business reporting requirements into scalable digital solutions.
  • Proactively collaborate with Digital Technology teams, Systems teams, Data & Analytics teams
  • Drive automation and reduce manual reporting dependencies.
  • Ensure reporting infrastructure is sustainable and future-ready.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Reporting Projects
  • Serve as the central intake and coordination point for all reporting requirements and initiatives within FP&A.
  • Facilitate strong cross-functional collaboration across FP&A sub-teams (R&D, Commercial, Global, Regions, Systems teams, PMO, Digital Transformation, Business stakeholders
  • Ensure reporting initiatives follow clear governance and prioritization.
  • Balance ad-hoc reporting needs with long-term architectural integrity.
  • Reporting Landscape Optimization
  • Drive harmonization of finance & finance-related data definitions and reporting logic across teams and close collaboration with data & analytics teams on alignment of non-finance related data points consumed in reporting
  • Reduce duplication, parallel reporting, and inconsistent KPI calculations.
  • Improve scalability and automation across reporting tools.
  • Support implementation of dashboards and BI solutions.
  • Ensure data integrity and reliability in executive reporting.

Essential Experience

  • 5+ years in FP&A, reporting, or analytics, ideally in biotech/pharma where decision‑making relies on complex scientific, commercial, and operational data.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and govern enterprise reporting landscapes and KPI frameworks.
  • Strong experience with BI tools and reporting automation in fast‑changing environments.


Technical Strengths

  • Deep understanding of data definitions, hierarchies, and cross‑functional harmonization, including finance & non‑finance datasets typical in biotech (e.g., vial‑level data, forecast drivers, R&D program structures).
  • Ability to shift reporting from descriptive to insight‑driven, enabling value‑add decisions across teams.
  • Capable of translating business needs into scalable digital solutions in close partnership with Systems/DT.


Leadership & Culture

  • Natural coordinator across FP&A communities (R&D, Commercial, Regions) and business partners.
  • Structured communicator capable of reducing noise, eliminating duplication, and raising analytical maturity.
