Overview

The Threat & Vulnerability Reporting (TVR) team enables security visibility and accountability across Microsoft 365 and Azure, supporting security and compliance outcomes at global cloud scale. Our work helps Microsoft understand risk, track remediation, and meet regulatory and audit expectations across over one thousand service teams.

We are seeking a Product Manager II to support threat and vulnerability reporting across Microsoft’s cloud services. This role is well‑suited for someone who enjoys working in complex, cross‑team environments, is comfortable operating close to data, and is motivated by improving security outcomes at scale.

This role may also support compliance and audit functions. We strongly encourage data‑oriented candidates to apply—we work extensively with Kusto (KQL) and large datasets as part of our day‑to‑day work.

Responsibilities

  • Support threat and vulnerability reporting across Microsoft 365 and Azure, enabling consistent security and compliance outcomes.
  • Partner with security, engineering, and service teams to align on reporting expectations, metrics, and timelines.
  • Translate security, compliance, and operational needs into clear requirements, metrics, and repeatable reporting workflows.
  • Work directly with large datasets to validate reporting, investigate trends, and answer security‑related questions.
  • Use query‑based analysis (e.g., Kusto/KQL) to assess data quality, understand coverage, and inform decisions.
  • Leverage AI‑assisted tools and workflows to improve analysis, documentation quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Support compliance and audit scenarios, including recurring evidence, metrics validation, and reporting readiness.
  • Identify gaps or inconsistencies in reporting and help drive. standardization and automation
  • Communicate clearly with technical and non‑technical stakeholders about status, risks, and tradeoffs.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree AND some experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Some experience in product management, program management, data, security, or a related technical role.
  • Willingness to learn and apply AI tools as part of day‑to‑day work.
  • Experience working with data‑driven systems, analytics, dashboards, or reporting pipelines.
  • Ability to operate in complex, cross‑team environments and drive clarity amid ambiguity.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
Other Requirements

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree AND solid experience in product/service/program management or software development
    • OR equivalent experience.
  • Some experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
  • Some experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
