A profitable AI startup in Munich is hiring its first senior engineer to work directly with the founder.
The product is live, generating revenue, and used by real enterprise customers.
~$500k ARR, growing with strong pipeline and repeatable sales.

The current bottleneck is engineering bandwidth. This is a true founding role.
What You’ll Do
- Architect and build the core platform across frontend, backend, and infrastructure
- Act as a technical sparring partner to the founder on product and architecture decisions
- Take features from idea → production with high velocity
- Improve performance, reliability, and scalability as usage grows
- Fix core bottlenecks and unblock product development
- Shape engineering standards, tooling, and ways of working
- Contribute to long-term technical direction and future team build-out
Tech Stack
- Next.js / Node.js (core focus)
- Python (AI / supporting workflows)
- Modern web architecture (cloud, APIs, infra)
Strong product engineering and web fundamentals matter more than specific tools.
You Should Have
- Strong full-stack / web engineering fundamentals
- Experience in early-stage or high-ownership environments
- Ability to ship quickly and make pragmatic decisions
- Product mindset - care about UX, not just code
- Comfort working directly with founders in a fast-moving setup
- Experience using AI tools in your development workflow
Bonus
- Experience with AI products, LLM APIs, or conversational systems
- Eye for design / UX
- Interest in building scalable SaaS platforms from scratch
