We are currently supporting a growing, international technology business operating within the energy and infrastructure space. Working across technically complex renewable energy projects (solar and BESS), the business is continuing to grow its engineering function and is looking to bring in a Team Lead Software Development.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position sitting at the core of engineering, projects, and customer delivery. You will lead a team of developers while remaining close to architecture, system design, and complex technical problem-solving across real-world energy projects.

The Role:

• Provide technical leadership to a growing software development team
• Plan, prioritise, and coordinate development activities
• Support developers on complex technical challenges and solution design
• Translate customer and project requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Lead the design and implementation of software systems for hybrid energy projects
• Collaborate closely with project, commercial, and engineering stakeholders

Experience Requirements:

• Proven experience in a technical lead or senior developer role
• Experience working on complex, system-driven or hardware-integrated software environments
• Exposure to renewable energy, battery storage, or grid/industrial systems is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of automation systems, SCADA, or industrial control environments is a plus
• Able to lead technically without relying on formal people management authority
• Motivated by working on real-world energy transition challenges
