Finance Systems Manager


About the Organisation


Our client is a leading Dublin based international NGO dedicated to eradicating long-term poverty through community-led, market-based, and enterprise-focused approaches. Flexible Hybrid working available.


Role Purpose:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, this is a very exciting independent senior role in the finance team as the organisation is going through a period of transition and requires systems and processes improvements.


Key responsibilities of the Finance Systems Manager include analysing and improving current financial and compliance processes, continuing the rollout of the financial system across the organisation, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving continuous systems improvement in finance operations.


Key Responsibilities:

• Continue to rollout of our current finance system across all areas of operation.

• Conduct thorough assessments and document existing financial processes across the organisation in order to map out what and where changes are needed.

• Lead on the implementation of process improvements – simplification of processes and identification of opportunities for improvements, automation, and digital transformation within the finance function.

• Develop and implement tools for finance teams across the organisation to assist with finance reporting, budgeting and process improvements.

• Manage the implementation of systems upgrades

• Ensure integrations with other systems, in use in the organisation, are in place and running in an efficient manner

• Investigate the use of new technology that is relevant for the finance function within the organisation

• Develop and present relevant training sessions for finance users as required.

• Develop and maintain all relevant support manuals

• Establish systems to track metrics efficiently and effectively


Knowledge, Experience & Other Requirements:

o Hands-on experience of systems implementation.

o Accounting Qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)

o Strong knowledge of excel and other reporting tools

o High level of initiative, motivation, commitment and professionalism

o Excellent verbal, analytical, organisational and written skills

o Strong communication skills

o Leading teams through transformation
