PHP Developer
Dublin / Hybrid / Daily Rate contract
About the Position
Join a senior-heavy, close-knit team of 6 engineers (split between Ireland and the US), 1 designer (Ireland), and 1 project manager (US). The team values collaboration and proactive learning, with a culture that is introverted but warm and supportive.
We are seeking a proactive and engaged Senior Software Engineer to join on a contract basis. Your experience will amplify the team’s capabilities and help deliver high-impact projects. You will work across multiple initiatives, interfacing directly with team leads and executives, with fast decision-making cycles ranging from hours to days.
Key Responsibilities
Quickly onboard and integrate with the team using a detailed and flexible 30-60-90 day plan, including mentorship and shadowing opportunities.
Deliver project work from development to production, while contributing to defining new initiatives.
Collaborate closely across the Ireland and US teams, ensuring alignment and knowledge sharing.
Actively contribute to team discussions and problem-solving, sharing expertise to elevate collective output.
Navigate high-visibility projects with direct reporting lines to group leads and executives.
The Person:
Required Skills & Experience:
- Proven experience in a collaborative, senior engineering environment.
- Strong ability to ask questions and learn new codebases efficiently.
- Comfortable working across time zones and with remote team members (US/UK experience preferred).
- Web development experience (PHP preferred; other web design/development experience acceptable).
- Ability to deliver quality work in short development cycles.
Desirable Skills:
- Financial services and/or security project experience.
- Prior experience launching web designs into production.
- Experience mentoring or guiding other engineers in a collaborative setting.
Remuneration Package
