Salt is currently hiring a Software Engineer for a client of ours in Amsterdam.

Looking for KVK/ZZP and is paying 100 euros an hour.

The Software Engineer builds and maintains scalable, high-quality software, treating test automation with the same importance as production code. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, prioritize, and deliver technical solutions across product features, services, and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop clean, reusable, and maintainable code using standard design patterns
• Own services end-to-end, including deployment, monitoring, and production support
• Ensure system reliability through testing, observability, and incident resolution
• Participate in architectural decisions and contribute to scalable system design
• Continuously improve code quality, processes, and system performance
• Analyze issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement long-term fixes
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and contribute to team alignment

Tech Stack

• Languages: Java 17+
• Infrastructure & DevOps: Kubernetes, Docker
• CI/CD & Deployment: Harness (or similar), blue/green & canary deployments
• Build Tools: Maven, Gradle, Bazel
• Cloud: AWS (preferred)
• Monitoring: Grafana, Prometheus
• Database: MySQL

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• 3–5 years of software engineering experience
