We're looking for Director IT Security

About the role

For an international tech company with multiple entities worldwide, we’re looking for a Head of Global IT Security. You will own the global IT security strategy, lead the security team, and make sure the organisation stays secure and compliant while still moving fast. This role is the logical step towards a formal CISO position.

What you’ll do

Lead and develop the global IT Security function and team

Deliver operational security services (firewall management, pen testing, endpoint protection, SOC/SIEM, vendor security assessments, security awareness, secure coding)

Own and improve the security control framework and certifications (e.g. ISO 27001, SOC 1 Type 2, HIPAA, NEN 7510)

Drive and improve the security incident response process end-to-end

Safeguard and further develop security policies and the ISMS

Ensure global networks and systems comply with security policies and standards

Act as key counterpart for auditors, customers, security consultants and (where needed) law enforcement

Take full people management responsibility for IT Security team (hiring, performance, development, etc)

What you bring

7+ years relevant experience in IT / Information Security, including leadership responsibility

Strong background in complex, international IT / cloud / infrastructure environments

Proven experience with security frameworks and certifications (ISO 27001, SOC, HIPAA, NEN 7510 or similar)

Hands-on experience with operational security (SOC/SIEM, vulnerability management, incident response)

Ability to work with senior stakeholders across multiple countries and entities

Strong leadership skills: clear, decisive, able to coach and develop your team

CISSP or comparable security certification is a strong plus

Excellent communication in English and Dutch
