Network Engineer - Utrecht


We’re working with a well-established and highly regarded network infrastructure specialist based in the Netherlands, supporting organisations across a wide range of sectors including enterprise, industrial, hospitality, and education environments.


With decades of experience in the industry, they specialise in designing, building, and maintaining high-performance network solutions, covering everything from fibre optics and structured cabling to advanced Wi-Fi and wireless LAN deployments.

The business operates as a full-service partner, delivering end-to-end solutions across network design, implementation, project management, and ongoing support. Their expertise lies in creating reliable, scalable, and future-proof connectivity solutions that are critical to day-to-day enterprise business operations.

They are known for their hands-on engineering approach, working closely with clients to deliver tailored network infrastructure across both office and complex industrial environments, ensuring performance, security, and continuity at all times.


As part of their continued growth, they are now looking to bring on a Network Engineer to join their team based in Utrecht, Netherlands, offering the opportunity to work on a variety of technically engaging projects across Utrecht.

Responsibilities


• Designing and implementing LAN/WLAN networks, including WiFi solutions

• Setting up networks tailored to customer requirements

• Providing technical support and acting as a trusted advisor to clients

• Contributing ideas around new technologies and innovative solutions

• Performing Wi-Fi Site Surveys and Spectrum Analyses to optimise network performance




Requirements/Skills


• Completed ICT qualification (preferably MBO Level 4 in Network Administration or similar)

• Minimum of 3 years’ hands-on experience with IP networking, including tools such as Ekahau, HP/Aruba, Cisco, or Ruckus Wireless

• Strong technical expertise in networking concepts, including switching, WiFi, TCP/IP, VLANs, trunking, and tagging

• Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-focused approach

• Highly analytical with strong attention to detail and a structured way of working

• Full Category B driving licence, with flexibility to participate in an on-call rota (approximately once every four weeks, 24/7)
