We are partnering with an innovative biotech/pharma company to recruit a Director HR Business Partnering. This senior role shapes the people strategy across multiple countries and works closely with senior leadership to drive organizational effectiveness, talent development, and cultural excellence. As part of the Country Leadership Team and the International HR team, the Director aligns local HR needs with global priorities and reports to the VP HR, International.
Key Responsibilities
- As part of Strategic HR Leadership, align HR priorities with business strategy, drive workforce and succession planning, and advise senior leaders on complex people matters.
- Shape and optimize structures for global growth, lead major restructuring and change initiatives, and ensure clear role alignment under Organizational Design & Change.
- Within Culture, Engagement & Team Effectiveness, foster an inclusive, high‑performance culture, strengthen engagement through data‑driven insights, and support onboarding and integration of new leaders.
- Leverage HR data and KPIs for decision‑making, streamline processes with Shared Services and CoEs, and lead regional or enterprise‑wide initiatives across HR Operations, Analytics & Projects.
- In Executive & Matrix Stakeholder Management, advise senior leaders on people and organizational topics, communicate HR strategies across all levels, and partner effectively across countries, functions, and HR specialties.
- Ensure compliant and effective HR delivery, oversee labor relations and risk mitigation, and represent the organization with authorities, works councils, and external partners through Country HR Leadership.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or similar advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of HR experience, ideally with exposure to CoEs
- Biotech or pharma industry background required
- Fluent English; additional languages an advantage
- Strong HR leadership, coaching, and organizational design capabilities
- Proven track record in fast‑paced, matrixed, international environments
- Ability to influence without authority and partner effectively with senior stakeholders
- Analytical mindset with experience using HR data and KPIs for decision‑making
- Collaborative working style across Global HRBPs, CoEs, and cross‑functional teams
- Willingness to travel internationally
