  • Experience with the Swift programming language.

Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Swift).
  • Ability to work on highly scalable, database-backed, distributed systems.
  • Ability to communicate with internal and external partners to create system design.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, build, and maintain user-facing features within the Fitbit iOS application specifically focused on the Premium subscription experience, upsells, and feature discovery.
  • Collaborate closely with backend engineers to consume and integrate with RESTful APIs and backend services that power Premium features and subscription logic.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code. Develop and maintain unit tests and contribute to integration testing to ensure the robustness and reliability of the iOS application.
  • Participate in all phases of the mobile development lifecycle, including planning, design, development, testing, release, and post-launch support.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues within the premium experience sections of the iOS app, contributing to the overall stability and health of the codebase.
