Job Summary
The role is responsible for leading energy analysis initiatives to improve energy efficiency, optimize operational performance, and support sustainability objectives across facilities. It focuses on evaluating energy consumption patterns, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, and providing data-driven recommendations to reduce energy costs and environmental impact. The position collaborates with facilities management, engineering, and sustainability teams to enhance building performance and support effective energy management practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze energy consumption data across facilities to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of building systems including HVAC, lighting, and other energy-consuming equipment.
- Conduct detailed energy assessments and support energy audits to identify energy conservation opportunities.
- Develop energy performance reports, dashboards, and analytical insights to support operational decision-making.
- Recommend and support implementation of energy efficiency measures to reduce energy consumption and operational costs.
- Collaborate with facilities management and engineering teams to improve system performance and optimize energy use.
- Track energy performance indicators and ensure alignment with energy management and sustainability objectives.
- Support the development and implementation of energy management strategies and operational improvement plans.
- Assist in evaluating new technologies and solutions that enhance building energy performance.
- Ensure accurate collection, validation, and management of energy data from meters, building management systems, and monitoring tools.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management outlining energy performance, improvement initiatives, and cost-saving opportunities.
- Coordinate with external consultants, contractors, and service providers involved in energy analysis and improvement initiatives.
- Promote best practices in energy efficiency and support awareness initiatives within facility operations.
Tools & Methods, HSEQ
Abide by the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality, (HSEQ) policy, procedures necessary for the good conduct and safety of the workplace. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certifications in energy management or sustainability are considered an advantage.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in energy analysis, energy management, or building performance evaluation.
- Experience within facilities management, building operations, or infrastructure environments is preferred.
Job Specific Skills
- Strong knowledge of energy management principles and building energy performance analysis
- Ability to interpret and analyze large sets of energy consumption data
- Understanding of building systems including HVAC, lighting, and building automation systems
- Knowledge of energy efficiency strategies, energy conservation measures, and demand management
- Experience supporting energy audits and building performance improvement initiatives
- Proficiency in energy monitoring systems, data analytics tools, and Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and reporting skills
- Ability to translate analytical insights into practical energy-saving recommendations
- Effective communication and stakeholder coordination skills
- Strong project coordination skills to support energy optimization initiatives within facilities
