We are ready to take this game to the next level and need someone passionate to contribute to security service delivery by supporting day-to-day security operations, assisting with project security reviews, and providing guidance on secure adoption of new or changing technologies.
YOUR ROLE IN THE GAME
Reporting to the Director, Cybersecurity Operations>, you will be empowered to:
- Maintain awareness of current and emerging cybersecurity technologies, threats, and defensive techniques, including cloud security, identity protection, and endpoint security.
- Research, document, and help promote awareness of security trends, threat landscapes, and best practices, with a focus on how they impact enterprise and cloud-based environments.
- Assist in supporting and maintaining the organization’s cybersecurity strategy, governance framework, policies, procedures, and security standards.
- Collaborate with business and technical partners to improve overall understanding of cybersecurity risks and controls.
- Assist with basic security monitoring tasks like reviewing low‑risk alerts, learning how to identify false positives, and helping analysts document observations.
- Support cybersecurity documentation and research by updating procedures, gathering information on emerging threats, and summarizing security best practices for the team.
- Help with administrative and operational tasks such as organizing security logs, maintaining inventory or access lists, and assisting with governance or compliance activities
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- Foundational knowledge or hands-on experience in IT or cybersecurity domains
- Familiarity with security analytics, monitoring, or reporting tools (e.g., SIEM concepts, dashboards, logs, alerts, or security metrics) is an asset.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, security-focused environment.
- Demonstrated self-motivation, curiosity, and a passion for learning new cybersecurity tools, techniques, and technologies.
- AGCO Category 2 Gaming Assistant Registration (initiated at the offer stage; continued employment is conditional upon obtaining and maintaining this license).
