Role overview

Do you wake up every morning to find out about the latest fintech news (whether it be a new round of funding, an acquisition, or a crazy partnership)? Do you live and breathe fintech? Have a strong opinion about regulation in the region? Are you excited about sifting through the ideas that are shaping the future of fintech across Asia and more broadly across our industry? Do you know the fintech landscape across Asia like the back of your hand? Then this is the job for you.

You have a combination of deep expertise within financial services, relationships that span across the industry and across levels and countries across the continent, and the poise to interact with C-level executives at the largest institutions in the world.


We are looking for someone who challenges conventional norms, is open to new ideas and flexible in their thinking, a true team player with a clear vision for how the future of financial services is likely to play out and isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty.


You will be responsible for delivering outstanding content for Money20/20 Asia and Money20/20 Australia; looking to bring fresh faces and stories to the stage while leaving our audience in awe by the quality of the content you produce. As the pinnacle event in Asia at the convergence of financial services and technology, the expectations of our brand are high and must be delivered on. You will do continuous research and understanding of the market, identifying top trends and upcoming companies and people to feature across Money20/20 stages.

You will be expected to represent Money20/20 at select industry conferences/events and in the media; leveraging these opportunities to gather insights on market trends, build relationships, and recruit potential speakers.


This role requires close partnership with VP of Content, Asia and the EVP and MD of APAC and Middle East to achieve the shows’ short and long term objectives as well as partnering with the other show content team across geographies to share best insights, practices, etc. You will also work closely with the marketing and social media team ensuring that the vision for content across our stages is conveyed in our marketing material.


This is a critical role at Money20/20, with joint responsibility for the growth and success of Money20/20 as an industry expert. In return for your contribution, you’ll get to work for one of the fastest growing brands within fintech, travel the world, and create real change in the industry by advancing the debates, issues and opportunities within our industry.


Key accountabilities

  • Overall responsibility for Money20/20 Asia and Money20/20 Australia content
  • Incorporate new ideas, speakers, and geographies seamlessly into the main show enhancing our ability to provide a global perspective at the local level
  • Establish best in class content processes, building upon the call for content process and inbound speaking requests, presentation review process, on-site delivery, speaker care, and performance measurement
  • Create exceptional, tailored, post-show reports to each target segment showcasing value back to our customers post show
  • Hire, lead, inspire and coach the Content Manager and Content Lead to deliver market leading content; developing their skills to continually raise the bar
  • Further responsibility for ensuring alignment between Money20/20’s Asia and Money 20/20 Australia event content, the global content marketing team, and Money20/20’s ambitions to develop adjacent information services
  • Partner with the other content teams across Money20/20 to ensure a fluid message in the market across Money20/20 assets
  • Work closely with the VP of Content, Asia and the EVP and MD of APAC and Middle East, to deliver market-leading content that consistently exceed customers’ expectations and deliver ever-increasing levels of satisfaction (as measured by revenue, retention and NPS)
  • Embrace and drive commercial goals without compromising editorial integrity and the quality of the content
  • Continuously build relationships within the industry while leveraging existing connections to ensure Money20/20 has the absolute best speakers on stage and involved with the brand
  • Represent Money 20/20 as required to customers and in public.

Qualifications

Skills, experience & qualifications required

  • Significant financial services/fintech experience essential, including a strong network of industry contract and depth and breadth of knowledge in relevant content areas, including but not limited to:

  • Good interpersonal skills, able to leverage your emotional intelligence to influence others
  • Bold & courageous with a strength in your convictions to champion best in class and challenge boring content
  • Team player and leadership skills including coaching and mentoring to bring the best out in your team
  • Able to work at pace and the demanding nature that comes with live events
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; must be able to effectively articulate industry topics and trends in internal briefs, agenda session descriptions, marketing materials, etc.
