We wish to appoint a skilled Regional Head of Corporate Development to enhance our market position in Asia.
This role would report into the Managing Director of Asia & Emerging Markets and work closely with key stakeholders in Strategy, Corporate Business Development, P & A and in support of the Head of International. The role will have responsibility for TR’s business development agenda in the APAC region with a focus on strategic partnerships and M & A.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying strategic business opportunities, including key strategic partnerships, potential acquisitions and organic growth initiatives that align with our regional and corporate strategic objectives. This role requires a blend of strategic vision, C level relationship building skills, commercial acumen, and the ability to lead initiatives from conception through to integration and commercial deliverables.
About The Role
In this opportunity as Regional Head of Corporate Development, you will:
Expand Strategic Partnerships (Estimated [60%] of role)
- Identify and develop new partner relationships to generate incremental growth opportunities. This would include building a reseller/referral network and licensing new content to further enhance our solutions in region.
- Maintain a personal presence and high visibility in the region to uncover and untap new market opportunities
- Develop government engagement strategy and relationship building
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including Commercial Excellence and Legal to structure financially attractive deals and operationalize partnerships
- Identify and build pipeline of potential M&A targets in collaboration with Strategy to support the company’s growth objectives
- Build, nurture and maintain strong relationships with regional business leaders, potential targets and other external stakeholders.
- Manage the negotiation of acquisition terms and partnership agreements to ensure favourable outcomes for the company.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and analyses on regional business development activities, including potential M&A transactions, to senior leadership.
You’re a fit for the role of Regional Head of Corporate Development if you have the following required skills and qualifications:
- Degree or Master’s in Business Administration with 10-15 years of Business Development and or Sales Experience, ideally with global enterprise technology companies
- Develop a strong understanding of regional market dynamics and the ability to identify and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Superior negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
- Proven leadership skills with the capacity to drive projects forward and manage cross-functional teams.
- Strategic thinker who is able to blend consulting and business strategy to develop compelling plans for new growth initiatives
- Must be comfortable with complexity and demonstrate use of critical thinking techniques
- Excellent spoken and written communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills
