Job Description
The Healthcare AI/ML Engineer is responsible for developing and implementing artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions specifically tailored for healthcare applications. This role involves working with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, clinicians, and software engineers, to design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models that improve patient outcomes, optimize processes, and enable data-driven decision-making in the healthcare domain.
Essential Job Functions
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify healthcare challenges and opportunities where AI/ML can make a significant impact.
- Develop and implement AI/ML algorithms and models using existing Epic-built and in-house developed technologies.
- Extract, transform, and preprocess healthcare data to build robust and accurate AI/ML models.
- Collaborate with data scientists and clinicians to validate and optimize AI/ML models based on real-world healthcare data.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and privacy standards related to healthcare data and AI/ML algorithms.
- Stay up to date with the latest advancements in AI/ML technologies and healthcare domain knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelors in computer science, statistics, applied mathematics, data management, information systems, information science or a related quantitative field. Master’s degree preferred.
- 3+ years background in machine learning, deep learning, and statistical modeling.
- Proficiency in programming languages and frameworks commonly used in AI/ML.
- Experience in handling and analyzing healthcare data, including electronic health records (EHR), medical imaging, or genomic data.
- Experience working with data science teams in refining and optimizing data science and machine learning models and algorithms.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and privacy standards, such as HIPAA and GDPR.
- Exposure to hybrid deployments: Cloud and On-Premises.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.

Pay Range
$99,840.00-$164,736.00 Salary

The pay range for this job indicates minimum and maximum targets for the position. Ranges are regularly reviewed to stay aligned with market conditions.
