Your Role

Responsible for managing GCP cloud infrastructure, automating deployments, and ensuring reliability and scalability of applications.

In this Role, you will:

  • Work with GCP services like Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud IAM, Cloud DNS, MIGs, Cloud Functions, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Run, GKE.
  • Implement IaC using Terraform and Deployment Manager.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and other tools.
  • Containerize applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Automate processes using Linux, Bash, and Python scripting.
  • Monitor systems using Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Kibana.
  • Implement DevSecOps practices (SAST, DAST, container image scanning, SBOM generation).
  • Manage IAM policies, service accounts, and workload identity federation.
  • Use GCP Billing APIs, Budgets, and Recommendations for cost governance.
  • Automate alerting and dashboards with Cloud Monitoring API.
  • Implement distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry).
  • Autoscaling strategies for GKE and MIGs.
  • Optimize container images and CI/CD caching.
  • Design multi-region failover and backup strategies using GCP services.

Must-Have Skills:

  • GCP core services (Compute, VPC, IAM, DNS, MIGs, Cloud Functions, Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Run, GKE).
  • Terraform and Deployment Manager.
  • GitHub Actions and CI/CD tools.
  • Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Linux, Bash, Python scripting.
  • Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk, Kibana).

Good-to-Have Skills:

  • Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Cloud CDN.
  • Anthos & Service Mesh (Istio): For hybrid/multi-cloud workloads.
  • Cloud Build & Artifact Registry: For secure builds and image management.
  • Policy as Code: Using OPA/Conftest for Kubernetes manifests.
  • Supply Chain Security: Cosign for image signing, SLSA compliance.
  • Ansible, Helm, OpenShift
