Job Overview

Priding ourselves on our member experience, we have significantly invested in our Digital proposition, including the development of our Award Winning Healthcare Payment Card. We’re looking for a dedicated Scrum Master to join our Digital Member Experience team, playing a vital role in fostering agile principles and values within our squad. You’ll ensure that the team adheres to established practices and processes while delivering impactful technology initiatives. Your expertise will help promote a flexible and collaborative approach to agile delivery, supporting our strategic goals and driving operational excellence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organise and facilitate Agile ceremonies, identifying opportunities to optimise velocity, quality, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure sprint goals and product roadmaps align with broader project milestones, promoting seamless collaboration across workstreams.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Business leaders to develop delivery plans, manage progress, and facilitate release planning.
  • Act as the primary point for resolving critical impediments, fostering team accountability, and maintaining focus on priorities.
  • Coach the team including key agile ways of working, behaviours and cultural agile change.
  • Establish and continuously improve the use of Agile Tools to manage the backlog and generate squad KPIs
  • Monitor Squad KPIs, manage resources effectively, and develop risk mitigation plans to address unexpected challenges.
  • Facilitate retrospectives at team and project levels, identifying areas for improvement to enhance delivery and efficiency.

Work Arrangements

At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means attending the office, visiting clients or attending industry events.

Your Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, successfully leading Agile teams and supporting complex technology projects. We’re particularly interested in individuals who have established new Squad Teams; applying the agile framework to a newly established team.
  • Certification such as PSM, CSM, SSM or equivalent, demonstrating strong knowledge of Agile principles and Scrum practices.
  • Skilled in facilitating Agile ceremonies, coaching teams in self-organisation, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ability to remove impediments, escalate issues when necessary, and work closely with leadership to resolve blockers swiftly.
  • Experience collaborating with Product Owners, Product Managers, and Business stakeholders to align priorities and ensure successful delivery.
  • Competent in monitoring project KPIs, managing team performance, and integrating Agile practices within hybrid or traditional project frameworks.
