Network Administrator

The Opportunity

ScaleUp Technologies is a Managed Services Provider delivering secure networking, and infrastructure solutions to a diverse client base across Australia.

We’re looking for a Network Administrator with solid hands‑on experience who is ready to deepen their technical capability. This role suits someone comfortable working with firewall technologies and enterprise networks, who enjoys troubleshooting, implementation, and supporting secure environments — while continuing to learn and grow under experienced senior engineers.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Manage, and support enterprise firewall environments, primarily Fortinet FortiGate
• Maintain firewall rules, NAT policies, VPNs, and security zones
• Support incident response activities, including log analysis and containment actions
• Work alongside senior engineers and the SOC on security monitoring and remediation
• Maintain accurate documentation, diagrams, and change records
• Participate in client support activities and technical discussions as required

What We’re Looking For

• 2–5 years’ experience in network administration.
• Hands‑on experience with firewall platforms (Fortinet preferred; Cisco exposure beneficial)
• Solid understanding of enterprise networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs)
• Exposure to incident response or security troubleshooting at the network level
• Ability to follow structured change and incident management processes
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and grow technically in a managed services environment
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach

Certifications (held or actively pursuing):

• Fortinet NSE 4–6
• CCNA or working towards CCNP Security
