About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong analytical capability and hands-on experience working in complex enterprise data environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting data-driven decision making, delivering analytical insights, and shaping data requirements across fast‑paced Agile delivery streams.

Key Criteria / Skills & Experience

  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile delivery, with experience using Jira, Azure DevOps (ADO), or similar tools to manage user stories, data tasks, dependencies, and analytical work items.
  • Deep knowledge of data analysis principles including profiling, exploratory analysis, KPI and metric definition, and core data modelling concepts.
  • Experience working with complex enterprise data environments, including assessing data sources, technical constraints, system integrations, and data quality challenges.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to identify patterns, trends, anomalies, and root causes—and translate insights into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Experience delivering analysis in fast-paced Agile environments, with the ability to work autonomously, prioritise effectively, and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • Proven experience managing and refining analytics backlogs, defining acceptance criteria, and prioritising work based on stakeholder value and feedback.
  • Experience supporting demos, showcases, and proof-of-concept activities, including presenting dashboards, prototypes, and analytical findings.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data access, and security principles, including privacy, role-based access, and responsible handling of sensitive data.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex analytical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the identification, assessment, and preparation of data sources required to meet business and analytical requirements—evaluating data availability, quality, constraints, and gaps between current and target state needs.
  • Provide timely and accurate updates to the Project Manager on progress, risks, dependencies, issues, data quality impacts, and overall delivery status, contributing to project reporting as required.
  • Conduct meetings and workshops with technical and business stakeholders to understand analytical use cases, reporting needs, KPIs, and decision requirements, documenting these in agreed artefacts (e.g., requirements, definitions, KPI catalogues).
  • Profile, validate, and analyse data to identify trends, anomalies, and data quality concerns—assessing completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Define and document analytical requirements and business logic, including KPIs, metrics, calculation rules, filters, assumptions, and aggregation levels aligned to business objectives.
  • Develop end‑to‑end source‑to‑target mappings, transformation rules, and ensure alignment of analytical outputs to business processes and technology platforms.
  • Build exploratory and descriptive analytical outputs such as dashboards, reports, visualisations, and summaries to support insight generation and solution validation.
  • Support and execute demonstrations, reviews, and proof‑of‑concepts for data, reporting, or analytics solutions—preparing scenarios, sample data, and evaluation criteria where required.
  • Contribute to documentation and knowledge transfer efforts, working closely with the Solution Architect and supporting inputs to Solution Design Documentation.

Why This Role?

  • Opportunity to influence key data and reporting initiatives.
  • Work across diverse data environments and technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams in a progressive Agile setting.
