About the role
Payroll expert with a passion for modern HR? Ready to combine precision, ownership, and HR innovation? We're looking for an HR Payroll Expert / HR Generalist to strengthen our HR team in Kruibeke. In this role, you will co-own (mostly international) payroll operations while also helping shape HR projects, digitalization, and smarter ways of working all along the employee experience. The responsibilities
Payroll & HR administration:
- Support monthly payroll processes in collaboration with your HR colleague and our payroll provider all while ensuring accurate, timely and SOX compliant payroll processing and people data documentation.
- Guarantee compliance with Belgian social legislation and tax regulations.
- Support the first point of contact for employees and managers regarding all sorts of people related questions.
- Manage HR administration focusing on contracts, healthy strategic balances, accurate financial data, etc.
- When necessary, support with onboarding/offboarding, absences, benefits, insurance etc.
- Implement lessons learned.
- Handle the necessary reporting to both global company levels and internal reporting.
- Lead payroll coordination for European employees together with external payroll providers and ensure alignment with local legislation and company policies.
- Monitor changes in legislation and work with the team to translate them into practical HR processes.
- Provide the necessary policies to create a functional and competitive structure.
- HR projects, care for people & process improvement
- Support the implementation of digital tools, automation, and HR process improvements.
- Work closely with HR colleagues and the business to optimize workflows and HR services.
- Help drive a modern, forward-looking HR approach.
- Be there for the people and carry out our values.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in Belgian payroll, experience with international or European payroll is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Belgian social legislation.
- Experience in (preferably) a scale-up or (alternatively) at a social secretariat (e.g. SD Worx, Securex, Partena) is a strong plus. If not available, experience working with a social secretariat is also an option.
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and payroll tools.
- Strong Excel and data management skills.
- Fluent in Dutch and English is a must.

You'll join a team of 6 HR/Comms colleagues working together across different HR domains. The team supports around 200 employees and consultants in Belgium, while also collaborating within a larger international group structure and supporting other European entities.
