SPX Technologies is a global leader in engineered industrial solutions, and our AtoN business is looking for a visionary Managing Director – to drive growth and shape the future of our operations across Europe and Africa.
This is a unique opportunity to lead a dynamic, high-performing team, take full commercial accountability, and be a key player in a growing, technically complex business.
What You’ll Do
- Commercial & P&L Leadership: Own full P&L for Europe and Africa (circa $27M revenue, delivering profitable growth while setting strategy and pricing.
- Sales & Market Expansion: Convert sales of complex technical products, expand into inland waterways, road, and rail markets, and lead inorganic growth opportunities including M&A.
- Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and inspire a commercial team of ~50, strengthening cross-location collaboration and building a high-performance culture.
- Strategic Execution: Partner with global teams to translate strategy into actionable regional plans, delivering results with strong KPIs.
- Governance & Compliance: Ensure ethical, compliant operations across multiple countries while managing risk and internal controls.
What Success Looks Like in 6–12 Months:
- Continue to integrate Estonia and Finland operations to function as a cohesive regional group.
- Drive continued growth and market share expansion across key European and African markets.
- Strengthen customer relationships and elevate commercial capabilities across the leadership team.
About You:
- Proven senior commercial or general management experience with full P&L accountability.
- Track record of driving profitable sales growth in complex, multi-country markets.
- Experience leading sales of technical or industrial products, ideally in manufacturing or related sectors.
- Excellent cultural awareness, able to lead across multiple locations and geographies.
- Strong strategic thinker with stakeholder management and executive presence.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field (MBA preferred).
