DevOps Lead

Your role & team

We are looking for a hands-on DevOps Lead to spearhead our customer’s Cloud Operations team. In this role, you will lead a specialized international team of 5–6 experts based in Finland and the USA. Your mission is to ensure the scalability, security, and seamless delivery of our cloud-based services to a global client base.

As the Lead of our Cloud Team, you will oversee three core pillars of our operations:

1. Technical Support: Ensuring high-tier technical resolution for our global customers.
2. Deployment & Implementation: Managing configurations, complex integrations, and installations within our cloud environment.
3. Service Production: Taking ownership of server maintenance, version updates, capacity management, and robust security protocols.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Process Excellence: Defining and maturing service production processes, including Incident Management, Release Management, Capacity Management, and Event Monitoring.
• Automation: Driving the "Automation First" mindset to reduce manual overhead in deployments and maintenance.
• Performance Monitoring: Proactively tracking system health and performance to ensure 24/7 reliability.
• Leadership: Mentoring a hybrid team and aligning workflows between the Finnish and US-based members.

Required Skills & Experience

• Technical Background: Expertise in Linux environments and managing Java-based stacks (Tomcat).
• Cloud & Infrastructure: Strong experience with Azure
• Automation Tools: Proficiency in Ansible and Azure DevOps for CI/CD.
• Data & Analytics: Experience with SQL Server and the Elastic stack (ELK).
• Development Literacy: Understanding of modern development frameworks (React, C#) to bridge the gap between Dev and Ops.
• Communication: Fluency in both Finnish and English is mandatory due to the international nature of the team and local stakeholder requirements.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: 5,500€ – 6,500€ / month, depending on your previous experience and seniority.
