Why this role and why now?

Do you wish your design work could directly drive business growth while also helping fight food waste? We are looking for a Graphic Designer to lay a hands-on role in bringing our brand to life at Foodello–Fiksuruoka. This is a roughly one-year fixed term role covering parental leave.

We run an e-commerce business across Finland, the Netherlands, and Belgium, and are now expanding into a nationwide network of physical stores in Finland to make surplus food more accessible. In this role, your work will show up across our online store, physical shops, and marketing channels. If you enjoy combining creativity with real impact, this might be your place.

What you'll do

As a Graphic Designer, you’ll create high-quality designs across a variety of platforms, including print, digital, social media, and physical store materials. You’ll oversee the production process in each medium, ensuring everything meets the highest standards of quality and stays true to our brand. You’ll also manage multiple projects at once, keeping things on track with deadlines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating strong graphic design skills across various formats
  • Creating and producing both digital and print materials
  • Producing basic animations to support marketing and communication needs
  • Maintaining brand consistency across all channels
  • Project management: role requires close co-operation with marketing teams and with external partners

Your team & ways of working

You’ll report to Henriikka, our Head of Marketing Finland, and be part of the Finnish marketing team. The team is responsible for marketing and customer acquisition in Finland, as well as driving our global brand development.

While your main team is based in Finland, your work will support marketing efforts across all our markets. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with teams and projects across the company, including product design and  physical retail operations and branding.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a graphic designer with around 3–5 years of experience, with a strong focus on marketing and brand execution.

In this role, you’ll own the design of marketing materials for both Fiksuruoka and Foodello, ensuring our brand is cohesively expressed across digital and physical channels. You’ll work hands-on with campaigns, assets, and everyday marketing needs, translating brand guidelines into effective, high-quality visuals.

You’ll also support the development and production of our Finnish retail store, ensuring our visual identity translates seamlessly into physical environments.

You take ownership of your work and are comfortable working independently, seeing projects through from idea to execution.

Must-haves

  • Strong graphic design skills
  • Proficiency with Adobe creative suite
  • Ability to produce materials both for digital and physical channels
  • Experience with print production
  • Comfortability with basic animation and creating templates using tools like the Brief (formerly Creatopy)
  • Good project management and communication skills
  • Proficiency in English, as it is the main working language across the company

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in brand design
  • Hands-on experience in video editing
  • Experience with Figma
  • Any experience in retail and shopping center marketing
  • Finnish language skills are considered a plus
