Role Overview

As Studio East grows, so too will the scope of this role. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in delivering results and driving agency performance.

We are seeking a hands-on Senior Web Designer with a strong foundation in UX/UI principles, capable of owning design solutions end-to-end across mobile, tablet, and desktop. This role is delivery-focused and suited to someone who enjoys shaping solutions, making design decisions, and producing polished work, including thoughtful use of animation and interaction to enhance user experience.

The core responsibilities will include:

• Design intuitive and visually compelling UX/UI solutions for websites and digital products
• Create responsive designs optimised for mobile, tablet, and desktop
• Design and prototype micro-interactions, transitions, and animations to enhance user experience
• Translate briefs and requirements into clear, well-reasoned design solutions
• Produce wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
• Design and maintain UI components and design systems
• Collaborate closely with developers to ensure accurate implementation of designs and animations
• Support website builds, redesigns, and ongoing optimisation work
• Ensure consistency with brand guidelines across all digital touchpoints
• Maintain and evolve design systems and UI components
• Ensure high standards of design quality, usability and consistency across projects
• Iterate designs based on feedback, performance data, and user behaviour insights

Tools & Platforms

• Strong experience with Figma (including prototyping and interaction design)
• Experience working with Framer
• Experience designing for WordPress websites
• Exposure to or working knowledge of React environments

About You: Skills, Experience and Qualifications

We’re looking for someone who brings both expertise and a growth mindset. The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Proven experience as a Web Designer or UX/UI Designer
• Strong understanding of UX principles, accessibility, and responsive design
• Experience designing cross-device experiences using a mobile-first approach
• Strong visual design skills with excellent attention to detail
• Ability to balance usability, performance, and aesthetics
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment

Nice to Have

• Strong animation and motion design skills for web
• Basic coding knowledge (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Experience working closely with development teams
• Understanding of web performance, SEO, and modern web best practices
