Project
Senior Native Mobile Developer with strong experience in Swift (iOS) or Kotlin (Android) to join a project for a German client. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance mobile applications, ensuring exceptional user experience and clean, scalable architecture.
Role
- Develop new features and user interfaces based on wireframes, UX flows, and product requirements.
- Ensure the best performance, responsiveness, and user experience across both iOS and Android platforms.
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex bugs and performance issues.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices and architectural guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with backend developers, UI/UX designers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high‑quality, well‑architected mobile solutions.
- Participate in code reviews, contribute to technical discussions, and mentor more junior developers when needed.
- Ensure adaptability of applications to different screen sizes, OS versions, and device capabilities.
- Maintain strong documentation, including technical designs, API usage, and system flows.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, tooling, and development practices within the team.
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 5+ years of experience in mobile development, preferably in international or multilingual environments.
- Extensive experience in native mobile development, from first prototype to deployment in the App Store and Google Play Store. Deep knowledge of developing for:
- iOS (Swift)
- Android (Kotlin)
- Strong experience with RESTful APIs and mobile networking libraries (e.g., Retrofit, Alamofire).
- Solid understanding of JSON and data handling on mobile platforms.
- Experience with profiling, debugging, and performance optimization on both iOS and Android.
- Strong understanding of mobile architecture patterns such as MVC, MVP, MVVM, Clean Architecture, and the ability to choose the appropriate one.
- Familiarity with version control using Git.
- Experience with push notifications and handling platform‑specific constraints.
- Excellent knowledge of platform-specific design guidelines (Human Interface Guidelines for iOS, Material Design for Android).
- Testing & Quality
- Experience writing unit and integration tests for mobile apps (e.g., XCTest, JUnit, Espresso).
- Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and reliability.
- Additional Useful Expertise
- Experience with mobile integrations (e.g., Firebase, Facebook SDK, Analytics, Crashlytics).
- Familiarity with device‑specific capabilities such as GPS, camera, biometrics, or Bluetooth, depending on project needs
