Job Title: Network EngineerLocation: Portugal (must reside)

Overview / Summary:
We are looking for a senior/intermediate network engineer to support and manage complex network infrastructures for our client.
The role involves datacentre network operations, network security, transport and backbone networks, and advanced troubleshooting in critical environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Cisco-based technologies, firewall management and high-availability network architectures. They will work closely with internal teams and technology vendors in a fully remote setup.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Manage and operate data center network infrastructures, ensuring high availability, resilience, and service continuity.
- Perform connectivity tests and technical validations and support Unified Communications and Identity/Access Control solutions, including Cisco CallManager and Cisco ISE.
- Implement and manage network security controls, including firewall rule configuration and incident support across Cisco, Fortinet, and Check Point environments.
- Operate and monitor transport and backbone networks (IP/MPLS and DWDM), ensuring performance, stability, and redundancy.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for complex network incidents, collaborating closely with internal teams and technology vendors, including Nokia and Cisco.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- Proven experience in operating and supporting complex network environments;
- Strong knowledge of datacenter networks, network security, and transport networks;
- Ability to perform advanced troubleshooting in critical environments.
- Fluency in written and oral communication in Portuguese is mandatory.
- Fluency in written and oral communication in Spanish is highly valued.
