Your role

As a Software Engineer with Capgemini, you will contribute to the development, maintenance, and optimization of software solutions, applying sound engineering principles and collaborating closely with your team. You will build your technical expertise while supporting the delivery of high‑quality components and integrating applications within a complex ecosystem.

In This Role You Will

  • Develop, configure, maintain, and document software components based on defined design specifications and user requirements.
  • Build and integrate technological and interoperability components, ensuring smooth interaction with other applications and reusable system elements.
  • Create unit test specifications, execute automated and manual tests, and design testing scripts for development and integration environments.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, improve code quality and security, and promote knowledge sharing.
  • Contribute to the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including installation guides, operations manuals, and development artefacts.
  • Assist in system deployment and configuration activities, supporting the project team throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Your profile

  • Ability to understand and work from IT design models and technical specifications to implement software components accurately.
  • Good knowledge of mainstream programming languages and frameworks relevant to the assigned project, with experience developing web, multi‑tier, or mobile applications. Experience in Cloud is considered an asset.
  • Understanding web services technologies and modern development practices, with the ability to adapt to fast‑evolving tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with relational databases and core concepts of application integration.
  • Strong communication skills and interest in working in international and multicultural environments.
  • Minimum 5 years of IT experience, including at least 3 years as a software/application developer, and 3 years using Java programming language and related frameworks.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, French is considered as an asset.
