We’re now looking for an Android Developer to join our team for the next chapter of our journey.

Your mission:
As an Android Developer at Sleep Cycle, you’ll be part of a cross-functional team that practices continuous discovery and owns outcomes, not just output. You’ll help shape hypotheses, run experiments, and continuously deliver user value through small, impactful improvements.
Your key responsibilities:
- Design, build, test, and maintain high-quality native Android applications
- Collaborate with your team to define and implement features
- Contribute across the stack where it makes sense, with support to grow beyond your core area.
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Write well-tested, secure, and scalable code
- Monitor performance and troubleshoot production issues in a shared ownership model
- Work closely with ML Engineers and Researchers to bring models into the app experience
What we are looking for:
- 3+ years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience in native Android development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, plus some legacy Java
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with modern Git workflows, CI/CD, and testing
- Fluency in English
Nice to have:
- Experience with iOS (Swift, SwiftUI, some Objective-C)
- Backend experience (Python, FastAPI, Google Cloud)
- Interest in product thinking and delivering real customer value
- Experience working in product-driven teams
- Curiosity, accountability, and a proactive mindset
- Interest in team development and helping others grow
