We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead and coordinate phase-out programs within the powertrain domain, specifically focusing on engine and gearbox platforms. The role involves managing the structured decommissioning of components and systems as part of lifecycle management, ensuring minimal disruption to operations and customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end phase-out projects for engine and gearbox platforms
- Define and manage project plans, timelines, and milestones
- Identify risks, drive mitigation actions, and manage deviations
- Ensure strong governance and transparency throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, Production & Logistics, Purchasing, Aftermarket, and Finance
- Ensure industrial and operational readiness during the phase-out process
- Prepare decision-making materials and provide regular updates to steering committees
- Align technical, operational, and financial stakeholders
- Manage structured handover to Product Maintenance upon project completion
Required Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience as a Senior Project Manager in R&D or product development environments
- Proven track record in managing complex, cross-functional programs
- Strong expertise in project governance, planning, and milestone tracking
- Experience with product lifecycle management and phase-out processes
- Strong risk management and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Experience in industrialization or manufacturing environments
- Exposure to production, supply chain, or aftermarket operations
- Background in automotive or heavy vehicle industry
- Knowledge of powertrain systems (engines, transmissions)
- Prior experience with Scania or TRATON Group
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Project Management, or equivalent
