We are looking for a Lean Engineer to drive operational excellence across our manufacturing operations. This role is key in implementing Lean principles, optimizing workflows, and enhancing productivity while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.


Job Responsibilities:

Workstation Design & Optimization

  • Design and improve workstation layouts with a focus on ergonomics, reach efficiency, tool placement, and workflow clarity.

5S & Visual Management

  • Implement and sustain 5S practices across production areas.
  • Maintain visual management systems and conduct regular audits to ensure standards are up to date.

Standard Work & Training (TWI)

  • Develop clear and concise Standard Work Instructions, including visual/photo-based documentation.
  • Conduct on-the-floor Gemba huddles to train and coach operators.

Continuous Improvement & SMED

  • Analyze processes to distinguish between internal and external tasks.
  • Implement quick changeover (SMED) improvements and reduce production downtime and micro-stoppages.

Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Measure and track efficiency improvements (e.g., time savings per unit).
  • Report outcomes and support continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with the Process Engineering team.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Process Engineers, Production Supervisors, and Operators to identify and implement Lean improvement opportunities.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience in Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, Kaizen, SMED, Standard Work).
  • Experience in workstation optimization, time studies, and process improvement is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to conduct time studies and interpret performance metrics (cycle time, waste reduction).
  • Effective communication and training skills for shop floor engagement.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and data tracking tools.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of ergonomics and efficient workstation design.
  • Familiarity with process mapping and continuous improvement frameworks.
  • Basic understanding of health & safety standards in manufacturing environments.
