Position Summary:
Looking for an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to lead workshop operations, maintenance, and overhaul of rotating equipment, including pumps, compressors, turbines, and gearboxes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate incoming jobs for repair/overhaul of rotating equipment and define repair scope.
- Assess technical capability, tooling, and capacity before accepting jobs.
- Lead and supervise a team of 5–10 workshop technicians.
- Oversee dismantling, inspection, repair, and reassembly of:
- Centrifugal & multistage pumps
- API/process pumps
- Centrifugal compressors
- Industrial gearboxes
- Provide hands-on technical guidance during equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Verify critical measurements: shaft runout, bearing clearances, rotor alignment, seals, and labyrinths.
- Support rotor handling and balancing operations.
- Develop new workshop facility: define tooling, establish procedures, and implement work standards.
- Interface with clients for technical inspections, clarifications, and QA/QC reporting.
- Ensure compliance with workshop safety procedures and industry best practices.
- Maintain proper documentation of inspections, measurements, and repair actions.
Required Experience:
- 10–15+ years in rotating equipment maintenance and overhaul.
- Strong workshop experience and supervision of technical teams.
- Hands-on experience with pumps, compressors, and gearboxes.
