Our client is seeking a DevOps Engineer (6+ years) specializing in Terraform and AWS to design, automate, and maintain secure, scalable cloud infrastructure that enables faster and more reliable software delivery. (Hybrid, Toronto, 3 days/wk)

Must Have Skills

  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps and Cloud Engineering
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code
  • 3+ years of experience working with AWS cloud services
  • Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including EKS
  • Strong Linux administration, Git, and scripting skills, particularly Bash
  • Experience in Capital Markets

Nice To Have Skills

  • Python scripting experience
  • Experience with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Experience with ELK Stack
  • Exposure to microservices architectures
  • Familiarity with enterprise security and governance practices in cloud environments

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform to provision and manage AWS resources
  • Build reusable Terraform modules and maintain infrastructure through version control practices
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and deployment workflows
  • Design, manage, and optimize scalable cloud environments on AWS
  • Support services and architectures involving EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, EKS/ECS, Lambda, and CloudWatch
  • Ensure cloud environments are highly available, scalable, fault tolerant, and secure
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple deployment environments
  • Automate and support application deployments using modern DevOps practices
  • Manage containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes
  • Support microservices-based deployments and cloud-native application development
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to improve reliability, performance, and observability
