About The Role
As a key member of our Design Systems team, you will collaborate directly with engineering teams to develop and enhance the Workday Design System, ensuring seamless integration of design patterns into our platform. Your work will influence the experience of millions of Workday users worldwide, shaping the way enterprise software is experienced across all modalities. This role offers an exciting opportunity to impact at scale, focusing on creating modern, scalable, and intuitive design patterns that improve user engagement and satisfaction. You will be instrumental in delivering consistent, attractive, and user-friendly interfaces that align with our commitment to putting users at the center of enterprise software. Qualifications
- 3+ years of enterprise or product design experience in a UX design role
- 3+ years of proficiency with Figma (wireframes, high-fidelity designs, prototypes)
- Experience partnering cross-functionally from discovery through delivery
- Bachelor’s degree in Design (Interaction, Graphic, Visual Communications, Product, Industrial), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science (CS), or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Strong portfolio demonstrating UX work including flows, wireframes, prototypes, and case studies
- Proficiency with modern design and prototyping tools such as Lovable or equivalent
- Excellent interaction design skills with a user-centric approach
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to learn complex systems and interfaces quickly
- Knowledge of consumer-centric services and enterprise application development
- Design and develop scalable, modern UI patterns for the Workday platform to enhance user experience across all modalities
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate design systems into the product development lifecycle
- Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that align with user needs and business goals
- Participate in user research, usability testing, and feedback sessions to refine design solutions
- Maintain and evolve the Workday Design System to ensure consistency, accessibility, and scalability
- Work closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into intuitive designs
- Advocate for user experience best practices across cross-functional teams
- Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, mentorship, and design excellence
- Challenge existing paradigms to improve and innovate within the platform’s design approach
