About the company:

Our client is a national supplier of glass, aluminium, and stainless-steel systems for residential and commercial construction projects.


From fencing and decking to balustrades, screening, and bathroom solutions, we provide complete building systems designed for installers, builders, and contractors.


As they continue to grow, they are looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead the development and performance of key product categories across the business.


About the role:

The Product Manager is responsible for driving the commercial performance of product categories, including product range strategy, supplier partnerships, pricing optimisation, and inventory performance.


Working closely with Sales, Supply Chain, and Procurement, this role will ensure our product categories remain competitive, profitable, and aligned with customer demand.


This is a key role that will influence product strategy, supplier relationships, and margin growth across the business.


Key responsibilities:

Category Strategy & Product Management

  • Own the growth and profitability category plan by developing and implementing category strategies aligned with business growth objectives
  • Manage the product lifecycle including product launches, range optimisation, and discontinuations
  • Analyse category performance, sales trends, and customer demand
  • Identify opportunities to expand the product range and introduce new products
  • Work with procurement to build and manage strategic relationships with suppliers

Sales & Market Alignment

  • Work closely with sales teams to support product solutions for customers
  • Provide product training and support to sales teams
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activity, and pricing
  • Support promotional campaigns and product launches

Inventory & Supply Chain Alignment

  • Work with supply chain teams to optimise inventory levels and availability
  • Support demand planning and forecasting activities
  • Monitor product performance and inventory turnover
  • Identify opportunities to reduce slow-moving or obsolete stock


To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Proven experience managing product categories or supplier portfolios
  • Experience in building products
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills
  • Experience analysing product performance and market trends
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with sales, supply chain, and operations teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability


Experience in building products, construction materials, fencing, distribution, or manufacturing will be highly regarded.
