We're looking for an experienced IP Network Engineer to join a leading telecom environment in Sydney. You'll play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance IP networks across mobile core and data centre environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement IP network solutions in a telecom setting
- Configure and manage routers, switches, firewalls, and network devices
- Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure network stability
- Implement and maintain network security (firewalls, IDS, NAC)
- Manage IP addressing, network upgrades, and ongoing maintenance
- Document configurations and ensure adherence to best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Skills:
- Strong experience with IP protocols (OSPF, BGP) and network architecture
- Background in telecom networks, ideally mobile core environments
- Knowledge of data centre technologies (ACI, EVPN-VXLAN)
- Firewall and security expertise (Fortinet, F5, Check Point preferred)
- Relevant qualifications and/or Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE)
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
