Job Description
- As part of the implementation of a new Cloud team, we are looking for a Cloud DevOps Engineer. Initially, the mission will be to operationalize a new architecture in the AWS cloud by working with IT/OT (solution/cloud) architects.
- You will contribute to the design of a hub-and-spoke architecture in AWS (multi-account, multi-environment) by applying the Well-Architected Framework, recommended best practices, and prepare the first steps of financial optimization (Finops). The work will be done on site in the offices in Liège with 2 days of homeworking possible per week. Possibility that the start of the assignment will be done half-time (duration: 3 to 4 months maximum) before moving to full-time.
The role:
1. Industrialize infrastructure via Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, orchestrated in Azure DevOps pipelines,
2. Document thoroughly (HLD/LLD, guides, runbooks, code comments) to ensure a smooth transfer of your work.
3. Implement the financial optimization process (Finops) and operationalize the first phase in a pragmatic way.
You will be involved in the entire life cycle (build, deployment, security, observability, operations) with a strong requirement for traceability (standards, reusable patterns, quality controls) and capitalization (up-to-date documentation, infrastructure Git repository, knowledge base).
Skills & Experience
- AWS Cloud Experience – Must have, 5 years,
- Terraform – Must have, Medior (3 to 5 years)
- FinOps – Should have, Junior (1 to 2 years)
- Very good knowledge of authentication and authorization mechanisms/protocols: IAM, PAM, CIAM, RBAC, ABAC, SAML/OIDC, identity federation – Should have
- Very good knowledge of cloud-native security (IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, Config, Security Hub, GuardDuty, WAF) – Should have
- Certification AWS Solutions Architect – Associate (Professional is a plus) – Nice to have
