We are looking for an experienced Model-Based Design (MBD) Developer to strengthen our engineering team working on advanced machine control and navigation systems.
This role is primarily located in Tampere, Finland. However, we are also open to candidates from other locations in Finland, with the willingness to travel to Tampere when required.
In this role, you will take model-based implementations all the way from concept and simulation to real machines operating in the field.
As an MBD Developer, your main focus will be on:
- Developing and maintaining model-based control systems for navigation and machine control
- Implementing control strategies such as PID and advanced motion control algorithms
- Working with sensor fusion solutions (IMU, GNSS, and related technologies)
- Bringing models from simulation to production-grade embedded systems
- Participating in SIL/HIL development and validation activities
- Debugging and optimizing systems on real machines
- Collaborating closely with software, hardware, and system engineers
Required Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience with Simulink (MATLAB knowledge is considered an advantage)
- Experience in model-based development for real-world machine or robotics applications
- Solid understanding of Motion control systems, PID control, Navigation systems and robotics, Sensor fusion (IMU, GNSS, etc.)
- Experience with SIL and/or HIL environments
- Experience with CAN communication
- Strong debugging skills across software and hardware boundaries
- Ability and willingness to test and troubleshoot on actual machines
- Willingness to travel when required
