Job Description

Responsible for providing Human Resource support to employees and managers in an assigned region/country/function. The role ensures a positive employee experience by effectively resolving queries and facilitating processes throughout the employee journey from Hire to Termination, excluding recruitment activities.

The People Operations Specialist contributes to a solid HR foundation for both internal and external stakeholders and supports employees in a customer-focused manner, enhancing the overall employee experience.



Role - Human Resource Specialist - People Operations

Experience - 3-7 years

Location - Amsterdam, North Holland

Type - contract - 3 months, Until July end

Mode - Hybrid

Mandatory Experience/Skills - Throughout Process of Hire to Terminate, Labor law, documentation, Coordination & Support

Tools : ServiceNow/Workday MUST

Availability to Join : Immediately or Mid of April Max



Key Responsibilities

People Administration & Policy

  • Administer a wide range of HR policies and processes, including document management
  • Ensure processes, procedures, and documents are up-to-date and compliant with local labor laws
  • Execute people processing procedures such as contract/offer management, absence tracking, reporting, validation, and employee data updates
  • Maintain and administer the company’s global HR systems and tools
  • Document internal queries according to standard operating procedures
  • Maintain employee records and files


Coordination & Payroll

  • Coordinate actions related to work permits and personnel changes
  • Prepare and manage Payroll change reports and audits according to agreed timelines
  • Administer new hires within defined Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • Ensure all changes are executed on time for payroll deadlines
  • Respond to tickets within SLA


Support & Communication

  • Explain regulations, policies, and procedures to employees and managers
  • Respond to written and verbal inquiries from internal and external parties, solving problems or referring appropriately
  • Provide feedback to Business Partners regarding employee handbook and HR systems
  • Maintain internal communication, bulletin boards, and online libraries
  • Organize and support regional/country-specific HR events (e.g., health fairs, Ask.HR days)
  • Support onboarding of new People Operations Specialists and stakeholders
  • Liaise with internal functions and external vendors (Advisory, Payroll, Recruitment, etc.)


Data & Compliance

  • Ensure data quality and conduct regular audits
  • Ensure internal administrative processes comply with global and regional law
  • Support COEs in business cycles, process optimization, and collaboration
  • Complete mandatory compliance training on time


Problem-Solving

  • Identify and resolve problems not immediately evident in existing systems or processes
  • Update or modify workflows independently without predefined procedures



Required Knowledge & Skills

  • Experience with People database systems (preferably Workday)
  • Basic knowledge of local labor law (preferred)
  • Computer skills: SAP, Workday, MS Office, Google Suite
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong communication skills
