About the Role

As a Senior IT Network Specialist, you will be a vital member of an Agile Network Product Team within the core ICT domain. Operating in a DevOps and agile environment, you will collaborate closely with Product Owners, Architects, and Engineers to design and deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing network solutions supporting over 50 global locations, including headquarters in the Netherlands.

Your Responsibilities

In this senior role, you will lead within the agile team, co-owning the network product roadmap alongside product leadership. You will design, develop, and deliver network-related epics and features within the Agile Release Train (ART) framework, driving continuous improvement through automation and infrastructure as code.

You will review and refine network architectures with a strong focus on security (including Zero Trust, NIS2, ISO27001 standards), performance, and user experience. Automation will be a core part of your approach, utilizing CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Terraform, AWX Ansible, Python, and Atlassian developer tools.

Working across ICT and operational technology (OT) domains, you will translate business use cases into robust, secure network solutions. You will act as a key technical escalation point, manage vendor relationships on complex issues, and ensure thorough documentation and knowledge sharing within the team and with first- and second-line support.

Key Activities

You will ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability of the global network infrastructure. Leading the resolution of complex changes and critical incidents will be part of your daily responsibilities.

As an integral agile team member, you will participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, and other agile ceremonies, ensuring network priorities align with evolving business needs and security policies. Close collaboration with other teams in the Agile Release Train is essential for delivering cohesive network solutions.

Your work will involve modern networking and security technologies including Aruba CX switching and routing, EVPN, VXLAN, BGP, Aruba Wireless and ClearPass, Check Point firewalls, F5 Application Delivery Controllers, and WAN technologies such as Internet, IPsec VPN, and SD-WAN. Automation tools like NetBox, AWX Ansible, Terraform, and Python will support your efforts in driving efficiency and consistency across the infrastructure.

Your Profile

• You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or a related field
• You bring at least 8 years of experience in IT network engineering with deep technical knowledge, including OT networks on IT platforms.
• Your experience spans global enterprise environments with a proven ability to collaborate between IT and business teams.
• You thrive in agile, DevOps-oriented settings and have hands-on experience in product team dynamics.
