Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Customer Support Engineer based in Nova Gorica, with partial work-from-home flexibility. In this role, you will support existing and potential new users in their projects related to research nuclear reactors, fusion devices, and particle accelerators around the world, helping them operate and make the most of our instruments.
You will have the opportunity to travel internationally, attend major scientific conferences and workshops, and perform measurements at customer sites. You’ll be exposed to different environments and cultures while contributing to large-scale scientific projects aiming to answer key questions of our time, enable significant breakthroughs, facilitate the production of medical isotopes, and advance cancer treatment through proton therapy.
Qualifications
- Technical or Scientific Degree (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or related field);
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with strong command of English (both spoken and written);
- Ability to clearly communicate and present technical and non-technical topics to various audiences;
- Willingness and enthusiasm to travel globally, with openness and interest in different cultures, places, and customs;
- Knowledge of analog and digital signal processing, A/D conversion, and Linux-based embedded systems is a strong advantage.
