Role Overview:
As a Platform Operations Engineer, you will provide L2–L3 support and operate OpenStack and Kubernetes platforms in production environments, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability. This role offers hands-on experience with modern cloud platforms and the opportunity to improve operational efficiency through automation and proactive monitoring and optimization of infrastructure and services.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain OpenStack and Kubernetes production environments.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize compute, storage, networking, and virtualization systems.
- Perform L2/L3 troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Implement automation and scripting solutions (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Operate data center infrastructure and support cloud/container environments.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001 and NIS2 standards.
- Meet SLA/KPI targets and participate in on-call rotations.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with OpenStack and Kubernetes in production environments.
- Strong knowledge of compute, storage, networking, and virtualization technologies.
- Experience in L2/L3 troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools and platform performance optimization.
- Proficient in automation and scripting (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and containerization technologies.
- Experience working in SLA/KPI-driven environments.
- Knowledge of security and compliance standards (ISO 27001, NIS2).
- Hands-on experience in data center operations and management.
- Availability for on-call rotations.
Certifications:
- CKA, CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer)
- ITIL Foundation
- Cisco CCNA / CCNP ( Cisco Certified Network Associate or Professional)
