About the role
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Architect to drive cloud adoption, design cloud‑native solutions, and accelerate business outcomes by contributing across the full service lifecycle, from strategic consulting and solution architecture to implementation, integration, and ongoing optimisation within a dynamic Cloud and Automation engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop cloud design patterns and architecture framework required for the project implementation.
- Define architecture standards for the development team, encourage the best practices, prepare the technical documentation for the project deliverables.
- Provide technical thought leadership to the team with solution decisions, technical issues and internal organization initiatives.
- Technical guidance and assistance on effort estimation to pre-sales teams for the client proposals.
- Provide mentor and guide the team members on the cloud technologies.
- Project management activities include project estimation, work breakdown structure, setting the project schedules and sending the project status reports to clients.
- Assist Project Management team to help define and organise tasks across the sprints by participating in sprint planning and story point estimation.
Need to have skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in the industry with good exposure to Cloud, DevOps, and Automation.
- 4+ years of experience in designing and architecting public/private cloud preferably AWS
- Certified Solutions Architect Professional and/or Specialty in AWS cloud
- Proficient in one or more of the following IaC tools – Ex: AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or Ansible.
- Proficient in one or more of the following scripting languages - Shell, Python, Ruby, Golang, etc.
- Specialist in one or more of the CI/CD tools – Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Bitbucket Pipelines.
- Proficient in various Cloud security tools and their usage.
- Exposure to containers and container orchestration using Docker, Kubernetes, or any cloud-managed Kubernetes services such as AWS ECS, Fargate, EKS, etc.
- Exposure to AWS Serverless technology – Lambda.
- Exposure to cloud security posture assessment (CSPA) and provide recommendations.
- Exposure to AWS Well-Architected Framework and their application and recommendation.
- Expert in Business Continuity plans and related designs (DR).
- Exposure to cloud infrastructure cost management and optimisation.
Nice to have skills
- Seasoned in migrating and transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.
- Experience in any of the Database configurations and administrations.
- Experience in implementing Landing Zones and Control tower.
- Deployment of Applications or Microservices via DevOps tools.
- K8s Lens or equivalent tools for administration and monitoring.
- Cross-platform application integrations.
