Job Description: Frontend Engineer with basic Java

Location: Cracow (2x per week onsite)

About the Project

Frontend Developer role reporting to a Development Manager within a Global Markets Technology environment.

The individual will participate in all parts of the development lifecycle, including analysis, development, testing, and production support. There are no separate teams for these activities ownership spans the full lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Work within a development team alongside a dedicated Product Owner
• Collaborate in teams that may be co-located or geographically distributed
• Break down business requirements into user stories and deliver iteratively to production
• Take ownership of product support (“you build it, you support it”)
• Identify and manage technical debt while balancing new feature development
• Design solutions aligned with established technology guidelines and constraints
• Pair program and collaborate closely with team members
• Contribute to backend-related tasks when required

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience with JavaScript, CSS, and Node.js (both client and server side)
• Understanding of accessibility best practices and implementation
• Working knowledge of Unix environments
• Basic understanding of databases from a consumer perspective
• Familiarity with HTTP APIs (e.g., RESTful services)
• Basic knowledge of Java or Kotlin
• Strong communication skills in English
