Legal & Compliance Department is committed to upholding the highest standards of legal and compliance excellence, and plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our business and legal processes align with applicable regulations and company policies; providing critical legal support, counsel, and strategic guidance to various departments and business units, fostering a culture of integrity and innovation.

We are seeking a driven, proactive and dedicated team member to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be a trusted partner to a wide range of business units, working closely with sales, service, information security, marketing, finance, and other teams including regional office and headquarters to address legal, privacy, competition and other compliance issues. You will ensure that our operations remain compliant with relevant laws and regulations while providing exceptional client service to the business.

What You’ll Do

• General legal consultancy, providing optimum solutions to company’s daily queries, contract drafting and legal matter and project management, ownership of compliance in marketing communication, data privacy and competition.
• Own and keep under constant review Samsung compliance processes related to the Samsung legal systems and legal reporting, audit requirements and company policies,
• Work with local and global cross-functional teams to drive execution of all legal related projects to completion,
• Ensure legal and compliance requirements are met at the outset of new projects, products and initiatives,
• Collaborate with other Legal team members and business teams to identify any legal and privacy issues for compliance of the company policies and legal requirements and/or product functionality and upgrades,
• Inform and advise the stakeholders on any and all compliance and legal related inquiries,
• Handle inquiries and issues from third parties and outside counsels as well as internal colleagues so as to manage and monitor any and all (current or to be) litigation related matters,
• Monitor the industry landscape to keep visibility on evolutions, trends, and best practices related to legal, data privacy and compliance,
• Effectively communicate and interface with internal stakeholders, as well as colleagues and business partners,
• Exercise excellent people skills, be a team player with a bias to action,
• Be motivated by the opportunity to solve privacy and/or legal problems within an operation oriented environment.

Requirements

• Education in minimum Bachelor's Degree level and a minimum of 5 years of experience
• Working knowledge of data privacy, consumer, media marketing and competition law is an asset
• Excellent written and oral communication in English
• Relevant Certifications are plus
• Ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines and manage own caseload
• Strategic thinker with excellent ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
• Demonstrate data analytical skills, proactive approach, creativity, and experience working with attention to detail
• Working knowledge or willingness to quickly learn the content and requirements of various laws regulations, industry guidance, and company compliance policies, particularly related but not limited to privacy

• Exceptional communication and project management skills, including a strong desire and ability to make complex topics understandable for various audiences
