Position: Mobile Game Developer (Solar2D – Corona SDK)
Type: Permanent
Compensation: $50 – $150/hour
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
Role Responsibilities
- Design, prototype, and build cross-platform mobile games using Solar2D with Lua scripting.
- Implement core gameplay mechanics and systems from concept to deployment.
- Optimize game performance to ensure smooth gameplay across a wide range of mobile devices.
- Integrate monetization features such as in-app purchases and ad networks.
- Collaborate with designers, artists, and developers to refine gameplay and user experience.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following game development best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to maintain high development standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience developing mobile games using Solar2D (formerly Corona SDK) and Lua.
- Strong understanding of cross-platform game deployment for iOS and Android.
- Ability to rapidly prototype gameplay ideas in a fast-paced development environment.
- Experience optimizing mobile game performance and handling device compatibility challenges.
- Familiarity with integrating monetization solutions such as ads and in-app purchases.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong attention to detail.
