Network Engineer

Location- Mississauga, ON

Salary Range - 100k -110k/annum + Benefits



Job Summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic Network Engineer Junior to provide technical support and maintenance in 24x7 infrastructure operations for network technologies The candidate will assist in ensuring high availability performance and reliability of network infrastructure while managing incident resolution troubleshooting and routine maintenance tasks The role requires strong communication skills readiness to work in rotational shifts and a proactive approach to automation and process improvement

Key Responsibilities

Provide 24x7 support for network infrastructure ensuring uptime and performance of critical systems

Assist in configuration and maintenance of network devices including routers switches firewalls and load balancers

Perform basic troubleshooting and escalate complex issues as needed

Monitor network environments and assist in performance tuning

Support patching upgrades and configuration changes following change management protocols

Maintain system documentation network diagrams and standard operating procedures

Participate in automation initiatives by creating scripts using Python Ansible or equivalent

Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to resolve issues and implement solutions

Ensure compliance with security policies regulatory standards and audit requirements

Primary Skills

Basic knowledge of network technologies including TCPIP VLANs VPNs and routing protocols

Understanding of configuring and troubleshooting network devices Cisco Juniper

Familiarity with network monitoring tools and performance tuning

Basic understanding of ITIL processes for incident problem and change management

Exposure to scripting Python Ansible or equivalent for automation and process optimization

Secondary Skills

Knowledge of network security configurations and SSLTLS certificate management

Exposure to SDWAN cloud networking Azure and hybrid environments

Familiarity with ticketing systems ServiceNow Remedy and reporting tools

Soft Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team and build strong professional relationships

Willingness to work in rotational shifts including nights weekends and holidays

Adaptability to changing priorities technologies and business needs

Analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
